A One Day Diary
Up very early in the morning at 5:01 am, my alarm goes off and my day begins. I restlessly try to get out of my bed because of how tired I was from the previous day. Once I finally get out of bed I go and take a shower to help myself wake up. It was refreshing and cleansing feeling in the morning. After I eat some breakfast with my sister and pack up my things and leave to go catch the bus. The bus rides are always full of noise and kids so I decide to play some music and go to sleep the whole ride. It gave me some time to rest and not be distracted by any noises. I then arrive to school and have some conversations with friends before homeroom starts. Once first period starts I sit in the atrium with my fellow classmates who have study hall. I wait for the videography class to show up as they asked me and my friends to help out with their video. On my way to their potential film location I go to the store to grab some food. The filming was quite interesting and took some time out of my study hall. Once that was over I came back and sat down in the atrium to enjoy relaxation and talking to my friends as I had nothing to study for. I then head over to my third period Computer Coding class. Our teacher essentially threw us into the water that day and told us to program a greeting program. At first it was difficult as I had no clue how to start but as the class went on he helped us little by little until I figured it out. When then class finished I headed over back to homeroom as I had no clubs to attend today so instead I had some conversations with my classmates and played a little game of four square. Lunch finally arrived and I felt just as hungry as I do any day. I head on over to the lunch line and grab some smileys and pizza. I ate my lunch quite quickly and ate some of my friend's food as well. When lunch ended, I wen to Anatomy and Physiology class. We had a sub halfway through the class until our teacher came back and explained why he was gone. He told us that he slipped in the shower this morning, hit his head, and had to go to the doctor. I as an amusing story to hear after having to teach fellow classmates about what we learned in the book. Finally, last period came and I had to go over to Mr. Delizo's room and help him out as I was his TA. There was not much homework to grade that day so I finished rather quickly and helped clean his room. For the rest of the period, Mr. Delizo sent me off from helping him. The rest of the period was spent talking to the other Mr. Delizo and to my peers about important matters. School finally ends and I have to catch the bus back home. I once again fall asleep with music playing in my ears. Once I get back home, I took a nap because my mind felt excessively tired. I woke up to go eat dinner with my family around 6:30 pm. The rest of the night I browsed through Youtube and finished up homework. This was the story of my day.

Redemption Allegory
Having been tenant
to a rich Lord, Not
thriving, I resolved
to be bold, And make
a suit unto Him, to
afford A new small-
rented lease, and
cancel th'old. In
heaven at His manor
I him sought; They told
me there, that he was lately
gone About some land,
which He had dearly bought
Long since on earth to
take possession. I straight
returned, and knowing His
great birth, Sought Him
accordingly in great
resorts, In cities,
theatres, gardens,
parks, and courts.
At length and
murderers; there I
Him espied, Who
straight, "Your
suit is granted,"
said, and died.

On My First Son Analysis
On My First Son
by
Ben Jonson
Farewell, thou child of my right hand, and joy ;(He says goodbye to the son who made him happy)
My sin was too much hope of thee, lov'd boy.(He blames himself somewhat for what has happened to his son)
Seven years thou wert lent to me, and I thee pay,
Exacted by thy fate, on the just day.(After seven years with his son, he loses him to death)
Oh, could I lose all father now ! For why
Will man lament the state he should envy?(He grieves for his own fatherhood and envies the son's peaceful rest)
To have so soon 'scaped world's and flesh's rage,
And if no other misery, yet age !(The son being dead leaves the physical pain of life and doesn't have to age anymore)
Rest in soft peace, and, asked, say, Here doth lie
Ben Jonson his best piece of poetry.(From his son's death, He says his son was the best poetry he wrote)
For whose sake henceforth all his vows be such
As what he loves may never like too much. (For his own sake, the speaker vows in future not to like the things he loves too much.)

I believe this has literary merit to a fine degree. He is able to use the death of his son into an epigram that captures people's attention. His words throughout this epigram describe how he felt during his son's death and it gives a mental picture of grief and sadness. The setting of this story itself is enough for anyone to feel a sense of sadness coming from the words he writes. He writes "O, could I lose all father now!" which speaks words about how he felt while writing this. He effectively uses rhyme to keep the flow of the epigram going. Through the flow of the words to the deep meaning behind it, Jonson is able to write a compelling piece of work.

Of Studies
Throughout the whole reading of "Of Studies", it constantly repeats the same idea in different forms. The comparison between three different ways to study essentially is repeated time and time again. This particular quote intrigued me because the fact that it was talking about books while I'm doing a literature assignment. It basically compares that some people may just "taste" the book while others absorb it completely and "digest" it. This means that some people may not put in all the effort in their work while others do it wholeheartedly.
