Screwtape Letters "Chapters V-VII Questions"

1)What is the “law of Undulation”  Give an example of this in your life.

The "law of Undulation" is like a series of disappointments or troubles in someone's life. In Screwtape, he explains that patients always fall into this despair in a variety of ways. Personally, this has also been apart of my life. I always start a new school year feeling somewhat happy to be back but shortly after it seems like busywork for classes.

2)What is Screwtape’s idea on the best way for humans to die?  Why?

Screwtape's conceived idea for death is to die in costly nursing homes. He proposed this so that people would be lied to about being becoming healthier. He rather have this than death in war where people have fear in their hearts and turn towards God.

3)“Our cause is never more in danger, than when a human, no longer desiring, but intending, to do our Enemy's will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys.”  What are your thoughts on this?

This seems like a typical concept that Christians always fall into. It's the idea that devils will never completely grasp a Christian because of their faith in God. I have seen this in other people's lives and it' outstanding to hear about it. People always fall into despair and from this found truth in God.
